Jelly Scratch

Jellyfish possess magneto reception, meaning they have a sensory perception of the earths magnetic field, humans don’t. When visiting Scotland one summer I saw thousands of moon jelly fish swim through sheltered calm waters whilst rowing a boat out to sea. I filmed them from the boat and they slid by, it helps me remember how tranquil that day was. In this mechanical sculpture I thought it would be fun to disrupt that memory with a noise that would resonate in a jarring juxtaposition.
